A collection of 15 apartments located less than 300m from the iconic Bondi Beach. Comprising 12 3 bedroom units and 3 penthouses sitting above a ground floor retail development. The proposal reflects typologies and living patterns of the local area while influenced by the Australian coastal lifestyle so prominent to the location. Featuring natural hues, open balconies and a contrast in warm and cold textures,

The proposal draws upon the unique ecological character of the Bondi area, presenting a planting aesthetic that has a consistent language and connection with the existing local native environment. Using a predominantly native palette allows a gentle softening of the building footprint around the perimeters into the wider streetscape, whilst still expressing the building character through iconic Cabbage Tree Palms and feature succulent planting.
Bladewall Expression
The distinct built articulation was informed through sketch studies, leading to a unique design in both elevation as well as in a sculptural façade treatment.
