Contour Apartments, a piece of contemporary sculptural architecture sits within the beautiful coastal environment of Cronulla.

Sited within a new landscape of costal flora the project sits within a streetscape dominated by a series of balcony free rectilinear 2 – 3 story walk apartments. This generous new building and landscape improves the civic domain with excellent passive surveillance and introduces a soft landscape edge to the street, removing hard boundaries.

We have introduced a sculptural form that adopts best practice ADG principals. Design with cross flow ventilation, generous balconies and forms directing the eye towards the view, Contour is a sophisticated new residential development redolent of the spirit of costal living.
Gentle curvilinear form inspired from eroded coastal sandstone
A series of horizontal bands encase the building in ribbons, articulated with warm white tones and timber battens allow a seamless transition from indoor to outdoor.

Form allow us to shape residences that provide good balconies, private spaces, cross ventilation with seamless connection to views and the landscape. Adding a subtle reorientation towards the forms of the coastal environment within which the project sits.
Contemporary sculptural architecture
This project introduces a new style into a location close to the beautiful costal environment of Cronulla in Sydney's southern suburbs of streetscapes featuring predominantly mid to late 20th Century apartments that are largely defensive in composition with small windows, no balconies and poor relationship to the street and views.
