Comprising the development of 5 storey residences of 14 apartments located within a walking distance to Kurraba Wharf in Neutral Bay. The unique location features a sloping topography where Merrinda is nestled into elevation, allowing it to present as 3 storeys to the front but an additional two achieved towards the rear.

The form of the proposed building has also been designed in response to its neighboring heritage, as a more defensive appearance to the elevation becomes a more open gesture towards the rear of the building. The solid to void ratio of the primary landscape is achieved through the use of solid and deep carved in walls on the façade and fenestration of the design diminishes any visual bulk of the proposed development from the public domain.
Nestled alongside the landscape
The design features a careful selection of material palette, selected to ensure a subtle merge between the proposed development with the immediate context.

The use of neutral brick color, textured charcoal paint walls and low sandstone retaining wall to the front boundaries take the surrounding neighborhood into consideration.

In mind to further the ease of placement within the location, careful consideration was also given to retain important trees where possible and ensure appropriate planting is selected.
