PBD were selected as the successful Architects as part of a competitive design process for this Chatswood tower development.

The proposal comprises a cluster of slender tower forms, resonating with the podium geometries. Landscape rises up the tower form, de-scaling the tower and presenting a landscape quality to the neighbouring context.

Morphing a two dimensional podium silhouette into a sculptural, programmable landscape deck. The proposal seeks to integrate tower and podium into a cohesive built form.
THREE SHIFTING PODS REPRESENTED AS A CLUSTER OF SLENDER FORMS
Using a layered landscape approach to transition from the podium to the tower, and
evolve the landscape up the tower component to further reinforce the slenderness.

The communal open space on the podium is a generous private retreat for residents of the development. Characterised by numerous breakout spaces, both passive and active, and encourages different activities. In addition, the podium deck is an expansive private open space for all podium level units.
integrated public art and inspiration
Public art presents a significant opportunity for the project, enhancing the architectural and landscape design and providing opportunities for interpretation.

The public art opportunities are focused on areas where they are visible from the public domain at street level and resident with the curved blade walls presents a key opportunity.
