Smith’s @ Top Ryde

A sleek modern architectural aesthetic, articulated so as to identify important facets of the building elevations with a play in materials and articulation, including rendered framing, patterned sliding metal privacy screens, batten screening, timber soffits and protruding blade walls. The above are utilised to provide are strong building typology to the initial 4 floors with a recessive approach to the uppermost level, setback further from the provide below and taking into account a lighter sense of detailing with a hovering roof structure. The project draws on a palette of colours in materials found in nature to help promote an aesthetic juxtaposed against the transition of a domestic scale residential to the more urban streetscape emerging in the precinct.
